Welcome to Al Raja Middle & High School
At Al Raja, we believe education prepares students not just for exams or university, but for life.
Growing Through the Middle & High School Years
These are years of real growth. Students discover who they are, build their strengths and begin to picture their future. We walk alongside them, challenging them academically and encouraging them personally, as they grow into confident, compassionate, responsible young adults.
Academic Excellence
Our supportive, challenging environment encourages students to explore their interests and pursue excellence. Our teachers respond to the needs of every learner.
High School Credit System
Required and elective courses give students a clear pathway to graduation. Students shape a program around their strengths and goals while building independence and responsibility.
Advanced Placement (AP) Courses
University-level study in AP Chemistry, Biology, Calculus, Microeconomics, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Literature and Physics.
Diverse Electives
Electives help students discover new passions. Options range from Microbiology, Food Chemistry and Anatomy to Creative Writing, Drama, Journalism, Robotics, Graphic Design and Arabic Calligraphy.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
Raja Model United Nations: Al Raja pioneered MUN in Bahrain in 2008. Students tackle global issues and build research, public-speaking and diplomacy skills.
Personal & Social Development: Our counselors offer group programs and one-on-one support. They work with families and teachers to help students build confidence, resilience and healthy relationships.
High School Student Council: Elected student leaders represent their peers, organize events and contribute to school life.
Preparing for University & Beyond: Grade 11 College Preparation guides students through applications. It also helps them identify their strengths, goals and career paths.
CAS (Creativity, Activity & Service): Creative, physical and service experiences that build initiative, collaboration and a commitment to others.
Job Shadowing: Each Grade 12 student spends one day shadowing someone in a career that interests them, arranged with the counselor.
Grade 12 Yearbook: Seniors plan, design and produce the Al Raja Yearbook, a lasting keepsake built on teamwork and leadership.
Middle School Highlights
Student Advocacy Program (SAP): Small-group electives such as Calligraphy, Cooking, Debate, First Aid and Coding, plus dedicated reading time.
Leadership League: Elected Captains and Vice Captains lead their Homerooms through themed challenges and friendly competitions. Along the way, they learn that leadership means serving others.
Looking Ahead
We remain committed to continuous improvement, rooted in the values that have shaped Al Raja for generations. Thank you for being part of our community. We look forward to partnering with you as students learn, lead, serve and grow.
