Curriculum
Al Raja School is built on the foundation that students should become fluent in two languages - both their native language of Arabic, as well as in English. As such, students who enter Al Raja School must have a foundation of Arabic, whether that is in KG1 or in the High School. Students are taught a broad range of subjects in all grades. The foundation is given in the core subjects - Religion, Arabic, English, Math, and Science, and the curriculum is supplemented with PE, Music, Computer, and Art.
In the Arabic medium subjects, the curriculum is based on the Bahrain Ministry of Education's curriculum, supplemented with the Lughati Farahi curriculum and resources from Lebanon, one of the most popular curriculum in the MENA region. English medium subjects follow an American curriculum, and textbook resources are drawn largely from American textbook publishers, with supplemental material drawn from a variety of resources.

As students begin to mature both physically and mentally, they are prepared for the independence necessary to be successful in the High School. First, students are given a study skills class that helps them develop organizational skills, keep track of their academic progress, develop the skills they need to be successful in the high school. Second, teachers work together closely to ensure continuity in the various subject areas. Third, students need time to move and be active, so cooperative learning and student centered instruction are essential for this age group.
