Strong students. strong community.

Al Raja School offers Advanced Placement (AP) courses to students in 11th and 12th grade.  AP is an advanced curriculum by the College Board, the same organization that offers the SAT and SAT Subject tests.  AP syllabi are written at the university level by university professors in conjunction with high school subject teachers.  The result is highly rigorous, well respected courses that are effective in assisting students in their preparation for university.

Why Take AP?
  • Increase your entrance possibilities - AP classes can be used for entrance into university.  Many schools in the UK consider 3 AP classes with exam scores of 4 or 5 to be equivalent to an IB diploma.  Additionally, AP classes on a transcript are a signal to universities that the student is willing to work hard and challenge him or herself.
  • Get a jump on university - AP classes are created by High School Teachers and College professors, and are equivalent to the first semester in University.
  • Experience high level work - students who take AP classes are prepared for the high level work and rigor of university coursework.
